Public Works Department

The City of Jesup's Public Works Department strives to help maintain the outstanding overall quality of life within the community by providing timely, efficient and cost-effective services.  Our goal is to sustain an excellent infrastructure through regular maintenance, prompt repair and strategic capital improvement projects; all performed in a courteous, professional and citizen responsive manner.

Streets/Parks
The Jesup Street/Parks Department has 2 full time employees:  James Masteller and Brock Flaharty.

The Street Department has a wide array of duties within the City. In addition to the normal street maintenance duties which include: roadway repair, maintenance of streets and alleys, pothole patching, mowing, street sweeping, snow removal, traffic sign placement/replacement, City owned vehicle and equipment maintenance, and holiday decorating:  they assist the Water Department with equipment and personnel to repair water main breaks, replace valves and hydrants; they maintain storm water drainage and the sanitary sewer collection systems.  The Street Department employees can respond 24 hours a day, seven days a week for sewer backups, snow removal needs, water main breaks and other needs as they arise.

The Street Department also provides maintenance needs for all City buildings and the City brush dump.

Water/Wastewater
The Jesup Water/Wastewater Department employs four full time employees: Michael Fettkether, John Powers, Brock Flaharty and Brendon Seibert.
