Chief Evans started with the Jesup Police Department as a Part Time Certified Patrol Officer in the Spring of 2013.  Evans was promoted to Jesup Chief of Police in February of 2016. Chief Evans Attended Hawkeye Community College from 1998 to 2000 and graduated with a degree in Police Science. Evans Started his career in Law Enforcement with the La Porte City Police Department in 2003 and attended the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy in 2004. He also served as a Shift Supervisor with the Black Hawk Consolidated 911 Center from 2009 to 2016. Chief Evans is married and has four children. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, snowmobiling, and hunting.
